No matter who you are, or where you are on life's journey, you are welcome here...
After a 9 month process of community education and engagement, St. Paul's United Church of Christ adopted an Open and Affirming Covenant at our Annual Meeting, March 8 2020. Open and Affirming is a designation given to congregations in the United Church of Christ who believe God calls the Church to welcome and affirm people of all gender identities and sexual orientations. We are very grateful to the members of our Open and Affirming Task Force that created and led our discernment process and to the congregation for so openly engaging with these issues of Christian life and faith. We look forward to more living into our covenant each day. Here is our Open and Affirming Covenant:
St. Paul’s UCC is an Open and Affirming congregation. We believe the Church is a place for all people- from diverse histories, gender identities, sexual orientations, races, abilities, and family structures - to come together in the fellowship of the Holy Spirit and partake of the kingdom of God. We recognize the value and dignity of all people as created in the image of God and invite them into full participation in the life of the Church here.
